Melrose Animal Clinic is a team of animal lovers! As fellow pet parents, you have our promise that we will care for your pets with the same respect, compassion, and commitment that we give our own. As a clinic accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), we align ourselves with the highest standards of veterinary medicine.

Collaborative Working Relationship

At Melrose Animal Clinic, we are committed to providing care with professionalism, compassion, honesty, and respect. Our goal is to build a positive and collaborative partnership that supports you, your pet, and our team.

We kindly ask that interactions between clients and our team remain courteous and respectful. This ensures a welcoming environment for everyone. Our team members are here to help and are authorized and trained by our doctors to provide accurate advice and information, so you can trust the guidance they offer.

Thank you for being a part of our community. Together, we can continue fostering respectful relationships that prioritize the well-being of your beloved pets.

Patient Arrival Policy

To ensure a safe and stress-free experience for everyone, we kindly ask for your assistance in keeping your pet secure and by your side during your visit. Our clinic operates in a small space, so following these guidelines helps us maintain a comfortable environment for all our patients and clients:

  • All dogs must be on a leash.
  • All cats should be in an appropriate cat carrier (or on a harness with leash).
    • Don't have a cat carrier? We can provide one!
  • If your pet is nervous and/or aggressive, you may prefer to wait in your car for your appointment. If so, please call upon arrival, and we will be happy to contact you when the exam room is ready for you.

Remember, pets visiting the veterinarian may be nervous, ill, or stressed, which can affect their behavior. For everyone’s safety, we ask that you refrain from approaching or interacting with other pets in the waiting room.

Appointment Policy

To allow ample time for all patients and surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. Occasionally, unforeseen emergencies may cause delays in our schedule. If this happens, we’ll do our best to keep you informed and appreciate your patience and understanding. To help us stay on schedule, we kindly ask that you arrive on time for your appointment. Here are our appointment policies:

  • Late arrival of 10+ minutes may require us to reschedule your visit or offer a drop-off appointment.
  • A minimum of 24-hour notice required to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
  • Missed appointments without notice (no-call/no-show) will require prepayment of the exam fee when rebooking. This fee will be applied to your invoice but forfeited if the appointment is missed again.
  • If three appointments are missed without notice, we will provide your pet’s medical records to assist in transitioning to a new veterinary provider.

If you need assistance getting your pet to the vet, please let us know, and we will be happy to help. Thank you for helping us create a safe and welcoming environment to provide timely care to all our patients!
