Michele Eagan: Veterinary Staff in Melrose

Michele Eagan, Hospital Administrator

Michele has worked at our Melrose Animal Clinic since 1989. She has "come up through the ranks," so to speak, and thoroughly enjoys her current position as Practice Manager. She attended the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA)'s Veterinary Management Institute in Colorado and is also a member of the VHMA (Veterinary Hospital Management Association).

Every day is different at the clinic; some are down, some are up, but each day always provides her with a personal sense of fulfillment. She truly has found her passion and feels every day is a learning experience and a chance to cultivate the human/animal bond.

She has a houseful of both human and furry children, currently consisting of two daughters, one son, three dogs, and one kitty that rules them all.

Linda_Paolini

Linda, Office Manager

Linda began her journey at Melrose Animal Clinic in June of 2010, starting at the front desk, and eventually being promoted to Office Manager. Our team has become her home, and she cannot envision working anywhere else. Linda takes great pride in being part of such a dedicated, hardworking, and compassionate team.

Growing up, Linda's household was always filled with cats, kittens, gerbils, hamsters, and birds, fostering her deep love for animals and nature. She has always been known as a "people" person.

Before joining the clinic, Linda spent a decade working in human services, coaching adults with special needs. After becoming a mother, she dedicated herself to raising her family. As her children grew older, Linda decided to reenter the workforce, where she was fortunate enough to find the most fulfilling job she'd ever had.

At home, Linda shares her space with Princey, a spirited terrier mix, and Chloe, a beautiful black cat, both of whom she adopted through the clinic. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking near local ponds and the ocean with Princey or spending time with her adult children.

Linda is grateful for the opportunity to interact with so many wonderful pets and their owners daily. She eagerly anticipates many more years at The Melrose Animal Clinic.

Annalise: Veterinary Staff in Melrose

Annalise, Marketing Manager

Annalise became part of our team in January 2018, and considers herself incredibly fortunate for the opportunity. She holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Salem State University and has dedicated time to volunteering at a local animal shelter for several years. Annalise's love for animals has been ingrained in her since childhood, fueling her desire to work with them. At home, she cares for her two beloved pets: Aquinnah, a black lab mix, and Tinsel, a tabby.

Outside of work, Annalise enjoys leisurely walks with her dog at Breakheart or, during warmer days, indulges in beach outings or tennis matches. She finds immense satisfaction in building connections with both patients and clients, making her role at the clinic truly fulfilling.

Becky: Veterinary Staff in Melrose

Becky, Assistant Office Manager

Becky was originally raised in Melrose and returned to her hometown with her husband to raise their two daughters after getting married. She joined the Melrose Animal Clinic in 2014, and being part of such a caring and supportive staff has been wonderful for her. Becky enjoys getting to know the clinic's clients and their pets.

In addition to her family, she has two wonderful dogs, Maggie and Brody, as well as two guinea pigs, Winni and Binx.

Paula: Veterinary Staff in Melrose

Paula, Client Care Representative

Paula grew up in the area and lives with her husband, two children, two dogs, Rosie and Riley, and a bunny named Peter.

She was a stay-at-home mom for many years until she decided to join the team at the Melrose Animal Clinic, and now she feels as she has found a missing piece! She really enjoys working at a place where she gets to share her love for animals.

Allison: Veterinary Staff in Melrose

Allison, Certified Veterinary Technician, Inventory Manager

Allison joined the Melrose Animal Clinic team in early 2013. She feels lucky to have become part of what truly feels like a work family and is proud of what she gets to do with them every day.

Having worked as a veterinary technician since graduation from North Shore Community College in 2003, Allison achieved her certification in 2008. As a tech, her primary areas of interest are laboratory procedures, surgical nursing, and client education, especially for new puppy owners. Since 2011, Allison has also been working as an assistant in the NSCC Vet Tech program’s Surgical Nursing and Anesthesia course, where she feels grateful and honored to help teach vet tech students in a practical setting.

Allison and her husband have two dogs and one cat: Luna, their mellow Golden Retriever; Petty, their hyperactive black Lab/Hound mix; and Graham, their marshmallow of a tabby. In her free time, Allison enjoys reading, music, and random trivia.

Initially employed as a receptionist while pursuing her vet technician certification, she attended North Shore Community College for Veterinary Technology. Shortly after graduation, she passed the national exam to become a Certified Veterinary Technician. Some aspects of her job that she loves include dental care, surgery, and training new technicians. Erin has a chihuahua mix named Wally who keeps her very busy. In her spare time, she loves to travel, spend time with her family, and go out with her friends.

Gerald: Veterinary Staff in Melrose

Gerald, Veterinary Technician

Gerald joined our team in the summer of 2018. He has worked in the veterinary field for over ten years, and finally found his "forever home", as he calls it. He is so glad to be part of our talented team, and the feeling couldn't be more mutual!

Katie F: Veterinary Staff in Melrose

Katie, Veterinary Technician Assistant

Katie joined the Melrose Animal Clinic family in September 2011. She never thought she’d be so happy to come to work every day! Katie has always had a strong passion for animals since childhood. She hopes to take her VTNE test in the near future to become certified. The staff and clients make the clinic such a warm and comfortable place for her to spend every day. It’s incredibly rewarding for her to help improve the lives of the sick and healthy all day long.

At home, Katie has two cats, Bubba and Rosie, and a very sweet Border Collie named Kali. Kali is the most lovable, loyal, and sweetest girl you will ever meet. She has endless energy and is always by Katie's side. Kali is extremely smart, but don’t give her a ball or she won’t leave you alone for days. Bubba (also known as Petie) was Katie's grandmother’s cat. When her grandmother passed away, Bubba desperately needed a home. He had grown up knowing only Katie's grandmother and was very fearful and could be aggressive, making it almost impossible to find him a new home. However, he had taken a liking to Katie. When everyone had given up on him, Katie decided to take him home to join her family. It’s been a tough year trying to get him adjusted to his new home and living with another cat and a dog, but he has come so far. Bubba has made such progress, and Katie is glad she gave him a chance to live out his life. He is a whole twenty pounds of special, but he is an Olympic snuggle bug, and she loves him dearly. Rosie, even with her princess attitude, is so full of spice, and Katie adores her. It is quite comical watching the two of them battle it out.

Katelyn_Eagan

Katie, Veterinary Technician

Katie's decision to join the Melrose Animal Clinic back in July 2020 was one of the best decisions she has ever made! Although she had always had pets, she had never considered having a career centered around animals before. Now, she wouldn't change a thing! Katie truly feels like they are one big family at the clinic, and they never know what they are going to experience at any given moment. However, she knows that they all handle it together and to the absolute best of their abilities. Katie feels incredibly proud to work there!
