Accreditation from the American Animal Hospital Association is not a simple accolade. To us, it’s a philosophy; a way of practicing veterinary medicine. What does AAHA do for me?
Distinction of Excellence
Achieving accreditation by AAHA is no easy task. Only about 15% of animal hospitals in the U.S. and Canada have achieved accreditation. AAHA sets rigorous veterinary standards that cover some 900 elements of our practice. These Standards of Excellence, as they are called, pertain to the following aspects:
- Anesthetic protocols
- Pain management
- Client services and education
- Diagnostic capabilities and practices
- Cleanliness and hygiene
- Surgical equipment
- Patient care
- Pet medical records and privacy
